Frequently asked questions
What is Arc Composite?
Arc Composite is a U.S.-based manufacturing partner for surf and wakesurf brands. We help companies replace slow, offshore, and fragile fiberglass production with faster, scalable, and more sustainable composite board manufacturing.
What partnership models do you offer?
Arc Composite offers three flexible manufacturing pathways:
- OEM Manufacturing – End-to-end production for brands needing a full-service partner.
- White Label – Apply your branding to our proven board templates for a fast, low-barrier option.
- Bespoke / Co-Development – Work alongside our team to design and manufacture custom boards tailored to your brand’s vision.
These models give you the freedom to choose the right level of involvement, speed to market, and differentiation for your business.
What types of boards can Arc Composite manufacture?
We specialize in surfboards and wakesurf boards using thermoplastic composites. Our process supports a wide range of styles, shapes, and performance levels, from entry-level to high-performance models
How does your process differ from traditional hand-lamination?
Instead of relying on slow, labor-intensive fiberglass layups, we use aerospace-grade processing methods with recyclable composites. This dramatically reduces cycle times, improves durability, lowers unit costs, and enables scalable production.
Do you require high minimum order quantities (MOQs)?
No. Our flexible process supports low-volume custom runs as well as high-volume production. This allows brands to test new models, adapt to market demand, and scale quickly without being locked into large overseas orders.
How fast is your turnaround time?
Typical lead times are reduced from 8–12 weeks (offshore production) to days or weeks depending on volume and complexity. Faster cycles let you respond quickly to seasonal demand and product trends.
Where is your production based?
All of our boards are made in the USA, reducing offshore risk, tariffs, and shipping delays while ensuring consistent quality and sustainability standards.
What materials do you use?
We work with recyclable, fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites. These materials are lighter, stronger, and more sustainable than traditional fiberglass/epoxy layups.
Can you help us customize our boards?
Yes. Our process enables full customization of shapes, graphics, and constructions without sacrificing turnaround time or quality.
How do we get started working with Arc Composite?
We’re currently looking for 2–3 pilot partners to join us as we bring this new manufacturing approach to market. If your brand is interested in shaping the future of board production, reach out to discuss becoming a pilot partner. You can also sign up to be notified when we officially launch full-scale production.
